Mike Smith, host of the Mike Tech Show Podcast, is a graduate of Drexel University and has been working with computers since the early days of the Texas Instrument's TI-99/4A home computer in 1982. From this he moved on to building his first Intel 8088 IBM PC clone with two floppy drives and a CGA monitor. Mike's computer career really took off when he discovered Lotus 1-2-3 and started developing complex spreadsheets to assist many companies. Mike also became proficient with the early version of Autodesk's AutoCAD where he learned AutoLisp and helped the City of Philadelphia Highway Division digitize the city streets. Mike became passionate about networking when he connected his first office with Novell 286 and used cc:Mail for email.
Mike's podcast is about all things technology and computer related. He discusses cool sites, software, and tips and tricks that will make you more productive at home and work and reviews problems and solutions that he has encountered.
Mike broadcasts every Thursday evening from his home in the suburbs of Philadelphia. He was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. He and his wife Dorothy of 29 years, have 3 sons, Michael Jr, Ryan and Tyler and 1 grandson, Michael III.
